What’s new for the 2022 Kia Telluride?

The Kia Telluride is ready to enter its third year of production in 2022. To call the three-row SUV’s impact on the automotive industry important would be an understatement. Our manufacturing partner has announced that its top-of-the-line crossover SUV will be getting some upgrades for the upcoming model year. So, what’s new for the 2022 Kia Telluride? Kia engineers have kept the vehicle’s rugged-looking and bold exterior in place but replaced the badging with new identity elements as well as a new grille. The interior of several trims will also feature some new equipment, including a larger navigation display and automatic temperature control. Let’s take a closer look at a few things you might want to know.

2022 Kia Telluride Performance and Capability

All five 2022 Kia Telluride trim grades (LX, EX, S, SX and Nightfall Edition) will use the same powertrain. A naturally aspirated 3.8-liter, V-6 engine will be under the hood that will be attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will make 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Each 2022 Telluride will be able to tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Future owners of the 2022 Telluride will be able to hold 21 cubic-feet of cargo behind the third row when it’s deployed for passengers. Stowing the third row will open up 46 cubic-feet behind the second row, and finally, when both rear rows of seats are properly configured, up to 87 cubic-feet of cargo volume can be used.
