What is different about the 2022 Kia Sportage?

The Kia Sportage is one of the vehicles that has been in continuous production for a long time. Our manufacturing partner has not made many changes to the platform in the last several years. So, what is different about the 2022 Kia Sportage? The changes the manufacturer made are certainly subtle, but they are still important. Some trim grades closer to the entry-level end of the spectrum will pick up a few new features and equipment, and the Nightfall Edition replaces one of the versions in the middle of the trim ladder. Additionally, more models will be equipped with more advanced technology. Let’s take a look at a few of the finer details.

LX Value Edition

Team Gunther Kia customers can up their level of refinement by choosing the LX Value Edition that improves the base trim of the 2022 Sportage. Buyers choosing this accessory package will get 18-inch dark gray wheels, keyless ignition with push-button start and heats front seats.

Nightfall Edition

We have seen other Kia crossover SUVs with a Nightfall model. As it applies to the 2022 Sportage Nightfall Edition, it replaces the old S trim grade as a standalone accessory package. Some of its features include premium leatherette seats, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and 60/40 folding rear seats.

EX Tech/SX Turbo

Both of these models fall on the upper end of the trim ladder. For the upcoming model year, both of them will feature updated complimentary map updates that will include additional points of interest. Each version of the 2022 Sportage will be equipped with a full suite of advanced suite of safety systems.
