Performance Specs and Fuel Economy Scores for the 2021 Kia Seltos

In the relatively short period of time that the newest Kia crossover SUV has been available at the Team Gunther Kia showroom, customers have not been shy about making their interest known. Very few visitors stop by our facility and don’t at least ask about the performance specs and fuel economy score for the 2021 Kia Seltos. While the newly delivered Seltos is positioned as the automaker’s entry-level crossover SUV, they didn’t equip it like an entry-level model. The 2021 Seltos can be powered by one of two available powertrains with either front- or all-wheel-drive and offer some of the strongest fuel economy scores in its segment. Let’s take a look at what you can expect to see when you visit us.

The standard powertrain train outfitted in the 2021 Kia Seltos is a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to a continuously variable transmission. It will make 146 horsepower and 132 pound-feet of torque. Models of the 2021 Seltos with front-wheel-drive will be able to achieve up to 29 miles per gallon in the city and 34 miles per gallon on the highway.

Team Gunther Kia customers can also choose a Seltos with all-wheel-drive that will be able to record up to 27 miles per gallon in the city and 31 miles per gallon on the highway.

Does the 2021 Seltos have another engine?

Team Gunther Kia customers can also choose versions of the 2021 Seltos with a more powerful engine option without sacrificing fuel economy. Buyers can pick a version that utilizes a turbocharged 1.6-liter, four-cylinder engine attached to a seven-speed automatic transmission. These models are also only available with all-wheel-drive and will record 25 miles per gallon in the city and 30 miles per gallon on the highway.

The 2021 Kia Seltos is still early in its first generation. That means production is still ramping up and current inventory is low. If you want to schedule a test drive, make an appointment with a Team Gunther Kia product expert today.
