Team Gunther Kia Thanksgiving Food Drive 2017

Team Gunther Kia is always looking for ways to give back to the community, and this last fall we were overjoyed to be able to work with a local non-profit that does a lot of great working helping the hungry in our county. With donations from customers, staff, and community members, we were able to collect 100 pounds of canned and packaged food to donate to Prosidee Pantry. Our collection box was Trotter the Turkey (pictured to the right). Our goal was to fill Trotter the Turkey up to the brim and we succeeded! It was wonderful to be able to collect so much for a good cause, and wonderful too to see all the people who came in to “feed” Trotter with their donations.

We started collecting food donations early in November and encouraged everyone to help support the great cause. Those who brought in a donation were even able to get vehicle maintenance discounts on some days. It can pay to give back, and we are so glad to have been able to support a great cause with the Team Gunther Kia Thanksgiving Food Drive 2017.

About Prosidee Pantry in Baldwin County

All the food collected by the Team Gunther Kia Thanksgiving Food Drive 2017 went to Prosidee Pantry. This faith-based non-profit provides support to families and individuals in Baldwin County. Since the organization began in 2003, it has provided more than 110,000 families in Baldwin County with support they need in hard times. The organization has also supported those in need after disasters, like Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Just this last fall, Prosidee Pantry provided a full Thanksgiving Feast for 1,506 families, and planned to provide Christmas meals for even more. That represents many children and parents who didn’t have to worry about where their next meal was coming from.

This organization provides food and information about where those in need can get the support to get back on their feet again. If you are looking for assistance, or a great place to donate or volunteer, check out the Prosidee Pantry website, linked below.
