All versions of the 2020 Kia Telluride use the same powertrain. Under the hood of Kia’s newest crossover SUV is a naturally aspirated 3.8-liter, V-6 engine attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Every trim grade will be able to produce 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque. Additionally, customers will be able to choose front- or all-wheel-drive-equipped models and both drivetrains have a maximum towing capacity of 5,000 pounds. Volkswagen offers two engine options for the 2019 Atlas, a turbocharged four-cylinder and a V-6. Neither of them makes as much power as the Telluride and only top-end trims of the Atlas with the V-6 engine can have that automaker’s all-wheel-drive system installed.
