Top Sports Bars in Mobile

This year, March Madness lasts from March 19th – April 8th. Get ready to view at the right places for maximum enjoyment using our guide to the best spots in Mobile to watch March Madness 2019.

Heroes Sports Bar & Grille

273 Dauphin St

Heroes Sports Bar & Grille, located on Dauphin street, is lauded for it’s great food, hopping atmosphere, and excellent location. It’s dog-friendly and fun, with a deck and patio for outdoor seating.

You’ll find a nice array of Southern bar/diner food. We particularly recommend the crawfish and spinach dip- the dip comes loaded with crawfish and cheese, with plenty of toasted pita on the side ready to dive in. The collared greens are delicious as well and a steal at only $1.50.

Draft Picks

566 Dauphin St.

As the name suggests, Draft Picks has an excellent draft beer selection. Combine this with a plethora of TVs, friendly bartenders, and a fun atmosphere, and you’ve got a winner of a sports bar.

One unique thing about Draft Picks are the many activities to take part in. Here, you don’t just watch sports- you can play them! Don’t worry, it’s nothing you can’t play with a few beers in your belly and one in your hand.

If you’re around on Sunday, they have bingo. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are for whiffle ball, while Thursday is karaoke. You’ll find dueling pianos on most Fridays, and it’s just a general party on Saturday. Add in fresh cornhole boards throughout, and you’ve got a great opportunity to add some movement to your Madness.

Heroes Sports Bar & Grille – West Mobile

36 Hillcrest Rd — SW corner of Hillcrest at Old Shell

If you live or find yourself around the South Alabama campus, you can find another location of Heroes down in these parts. Like its sibling above, it’s a thoroughly solid place, and often busy. In addition to copious TVs and a sport bar atmosphere, there’s cold beer, good service and great food. Including, of course, crawfish and spinach dip. What more could you ask for?

Baumhower’s Victory Grille

3206 Joe Treadwell Dr

Baumhower’s Victory Grille is praised for its considerate service, delightful atmosphere, and fantastic craft beer selection. It’s got lots of TVs, and is conveniently located at the mall. After consuming your required dose of March Madness calories you can walk them off on a shopping trip.

Several humans sit at a bar and cheer with sports on TVs around them.

Note: We need to clarify that in the title of this post, 2019 refers to the year rather than a number. There are only 63-67 March Madness games played each year (depending on which you include), so if you wanted to watch 2019 of them that would be pretty difficult. March Madness first kicked off in 1939; this will be its 80th year of existence. There’s almost certainly been at least 2019 games played since then, but it might be tough to track down the recordings, and even harder to find the time to watch them. However, if that’s what you were looking for, we’re sorry you ended up on this page instead.

Note #2: Wouldn’t “Madness in Mobile” be a cool horror movie/thriller? Just imagine that title written in “Chiller” font.
