What are the safest 2020 Kia vehicles?

If there is something that every automaker has in common, it is a commitment to safety. Kia has already been recognized for making one of the most advanced safety monitoring systems available, winning a technology award from leading automotive website, Autoblog. The first rounds of safety ratings from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety are becoming available and a six-pack of Kia vehicles have been awarded with the prestigious honor. Team Gunther Kia customers can see the lineup at our showroom during business hours. Let’s take a look at some of the 2020 Kia vehicles that made the cut.

2020 Kia IIHS Top Safety Pick Winners

The lineup of the Kia vehicles that won the IIHS Top Safety Pick Award includes four crossover SUVs and a pair of sedans. IIHS evaluators chose the 2020 models of the Kia Telluride, Sorento, Sportage and Soul as some of the safest vehicles in the segment. The non-profit group also found that the 2020 Kia Stinger and Forte sedans can protect their occupants in the event a crash occurs.

Why did these vehicles get picked?

It takes more than a flashy paint scheme to get picked as an IIHS Top Safety Pick. Each of these vehicles had to pass a series of six crash tests that not only ended with them being destroyed but also provided the evaluators with data to show how drivers and passengers will be protected. The six Kia vehicles that were given the coveted indication this year had to complete the tests with nearly perfect results. A press release from our manufacturing partner pointed out that the 2020 Telluride posted the highest possible rating of ‘Good’ in all six areas of evaluation and ‘Acceptable’ in the headlight category.

All of the Kia vehicles that earned the Top Safety Pick honor were equipped with the automaker’s front crash protection system. Customers can schedule a test drive with any vehicle available at Team Gunther Kia today when they make an appointment with one of our product experts.
