Kia introduces subtle upgrades for the 2021 Stinger

Performance Specs and New Features for the 2021 Kia Stinger 

The 2021 model year will mark the fourth year of production for the Kia Stinger. Without question, the Stinger platform has become the most exciting platform available from the automaker. In fact, the high-performance sedan’s influence has been found in the design language of several other Kia vehicles including the latest version of the Forte and the newly introduced K5. The performance specs and new features for the 2021 Kia Stinger will simply put it further ahead of the competition. Kia has made some mild changes to the exterior styling of the 2021 Stinger. Additionally, the automaker has expanded the availability of driver-assistance systems and updated the vehicle’s infotainment system. Let’s take a closer look at a few things you can expect to see when the 2021 Stinger goes on sale.

Engine Options for the 2021 Stinger 

Team Gunther Kia customers will have two engine options to consider when they are shopping for the 2021 Kia Stinger. The entry-level GT-Line trim grade will use the turbocharged 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine that will make 255 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. Buyers can also choose the GT, GT1 or GT2 trims with the twin-turbocharged 3.3-liter, V-6 that will produce a tire-melting 365 horsepower and 376 pound-feet of torque. Both engines will be attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission.  

Even with all of this available power, the 2021 Stinger is able to achieve solid fuel economy scores, regardless of whether a customer chooses rear- or all-wheel-drive.

Available Technology 

Naturally, every 2021 Kia Stinger will be equipped with the automaker’s latest and most advanced connectivity technology. That means every 2021 Stinger than comes to the Team Gunther Kia showroom will be equipped with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ as well as a wireless smartphone charger. Additionally, the 2021 Stinger will make several active safety systems standard equipment, including Blind Spot Collision Warning with Lane Change Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Warning. Upper trim grades will add more advanced features.
