Performance Specs and Feature Upgrades for the 2021 Kia Sedona

Regardless of where you come down in the minivan versus crossover SUV debate, the former is often able to haul more people and/or more cargo than the latter. That is certainly the case when it comes to the Kia entry in this specific corner of the automotive industry. Product experts working at the Tam Gunther Kia showroom have recently found out about the performance specs and feature upgrades for the 2021 Kia Sedona and they are very eager to get this information out into the world. For the new model year, Kia has streamlined the trim ladder – eliminating the L trim. Customers will still have several choices to consider among the remaining three versions, LX, EX and SX. Let’s take a look at a few things that should get you as excited as we to see what this vehicle has to offer.

How much power does it make?

All three trims of the 2021 Kia Sedona coming to the Team Gunther Kia showroom will use the same powertrain. A naturally aspirated 3.3-liter, V-6 engine is under the hood and it will be attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will make 276 horsepower and 248 pound-feet of torque. When the 2021 Sedona is properly equipped, it will be able to tow up to 3,500 pounds. This is right in line with what the rest of the minivans on the market can tow.

Since all three trim grades use the same engine, and all three are only available with front-wheel-drive, every 2021 Sedona will record the same Environmental Protection Agency scores. Owners can expect the 2021 Sedona to post 18 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highway.

Standard Connectivity Features

Every 2021 Kia Sedona is equipped with a smartphone-compatible infotainment system that will offer access to both the Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ suites of applications. EX trims and above will have charging-only USB ports located throughout the cabin. A wireless smartphone charging tray will accessible by the driver and front passengers in the EX and SX models.
