What is the Kia EV6?

At this point, it seems pretty clear that the next 20 years of automotive development will be focused on eliminating the need to fill a vehicle with gasoline. Kia is jumping into the electric vehicle game with bold plans to introduce an electrified platform very soon. So, what is the Kia EV6? Not only will Kia be introducing a very capable electric vehicle, but it will be a crossover SUV so it can be as convenient to use as it will be efficient. According to early information released by the automaker, a fully charged Kia EV6 will be able to travel more than 315 miles and reach speeds as high as 161 miles per hour – in the proper environment. Additionally, Kia is introducing a very powerful charging apparatus that will take a battery with a 10 percent charged and get it to 80 percent in fewer than 20 minutes. More than 60 miles of driving range can be added in less than five minutes. Stay tuned to the Team Gunther Kia Blog for more Kia EV6 information as it becomes available.  (more…)

What is the 2022 Kia Carnival?

Kia announced the end of an era with the official retirement of its minivan platform. In its place, and with an all-new logo, will be the Kia Carnival Multi-Purpose Vehicle (MPV). So, what is the 2022 Kia Carnival? On a basic level, the all-new Carnival will be a direct replacement for the outgoing Kia Sedona minivan. However, nobody will be able to call the Carnival boring. It will feature a powerful standard engine, a bold design that took inspiration from the automaker’s class-leading crossover SUVs, and, of course, one of the roomiest and adaptable interiors in the automotive industry. During the presentation introducing the 2022 Carnival, Kia stated that it will start delivery of the vehicle during the second quarter of this year. Let’s take a closer look at a few other things we’ve learned.  (more…)

Is Kia canceling the Kia Sedona in 2022?

There are a lot of changes coming to the global automotive industry. Kia is responding to these changes in a unique way. Early reports that Kia is canceling the Kia Sedona in 2022 are a bit misleading. Our manufacturing partner is doing away with the Sedona name, but Kia will still continue to produce a minivan platform. Starting later this year, Team Gunther Kia customers looking for the expansive cargo volume and generous seating options offered by a minivan will be looking at the Kia Carnival. The biggest difference between the new 2022 Carnival and previous versions of the Kia Sedona will come in the former’s new bold exterior design that will complement the automaker’s new crossover SUV lineup. Let’s take a look at a few things we know about the Kia Carnival before it’s officially unveiled to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 23.  (more…)
