Refreshed Optima Offers New Style and Technology

The Kia Optima is an elegant midsize sedan that offers families and individuals plenty of interior space and engaging driving. For the 2019 model year, this model gets a refreshed style and new technology options. 2019 Kia Optima Release Date
Even though it will be a part of the 2019 model year, the refreshed Kia Optima is expected to start appearing in showrooms across the U.S. later this year. At launch this model will be able in LX, S, EX, and SX trims, with an SX Limited or SXL package also available.
Subtle Styling Changes
Each of the trims of the 2019 Kia Optima will get new design cues. Many models will boast new wheel designs and unique grille styles or colors, like a matte gray-finish grille on the LX trim and a gloss-black grille on the S trim. LED daytime running lights now come standard on all models, while foglamps, LED taillights, and a dual exhaust will start appearing on the S and EX trims. New interior upholstery options and technology will also create a new look on the inside of the Optima.
Driver Assistance and Premium Features
Many Advanced Driver Assistance Systems will be standard across the 2019 Kia Optima lineup. Features in this safety suite may include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Forward Collision Warning System, Driver Attention Warning, Lane Keep Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
The UVO system on the 2019 Kia Optima will also be restructured to deliver an even more user-friendly experience. The LX trim will come standard with UVO play which will include things like voice recognition functionality, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, make calls, handle messages, and listen to music. UVO link on upper trims will add on-demand diagnostics, geo fencing, speed alerts, vehicle alarm notifications, remote start, and remote locking/unlocking. The top-of-the-line UVO link on the SX and SXL models will include Navigation.
